Our goal is to provide technical support and farm business planning needed to add value to milk through organic certification.

We will work with farmers to determine the type of record keeping system that best fits their farm and required certification records. If you are interested in individual consultations by project staff to help transition to organic milk production or interested in learning about possible workshops and strategies to increase whole farm production efficiency and herd health in an organic system, we may be able to help.

To Apply for Organic Dairy Assistance you should:

  • Be an agricultural producer in New York State; and
  • Be considering becoming a certified organic dairy
